Team AUTh
Our group is based at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTh), Greece, in particular in the Laboratory of Forest Genetics and Tree Breeding, Faculty of Agriculture, Forestry and Natural Environment. We are focusing on Forest Genetics and Genomics, Conservation of Forest Genetic Resources, Epigenetics, as well as in Classical and Molecular Forest and Fruit Tree Breeding. Our role in ACORN is in leading WP1 and co-leading WP6 and we thus participate in all project WPs. Our main focus is in WP1, WP2, WP3 and WP6.

Fani G. Lyrou, MSc
Fani G. Lyrou holds an Integrated MSc in Forest and Management of the Environment and Natural Resources from the Democritus University of Thrace, Greece and an MSc in Ecology & Protection of Forest Ecosystems from the same University. She is currently a PhD Candidate and Researcher at the Laboratory of Forest Genetics and Tree Breeding of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. Primary interests: forest genetics & genomics, population genetics & ecophysiology.

Nikolaos Tourvas holds an Integrated MSc in Forest and Environmental Science from AUTh and is specialised in population genetics and plant breeding.
